Let's Learn!
I'm a qualified maths teacher specialising in one-to-one tutoring up to GCSE A level. Sessions are tailored to the student's needs with special attention to preparation for final exams. I have experience tutoring both Primary and Secondary pupils and also adult learners wishing to improve on their previous GCSE results. Please note sessions are delivered via the Zoom platform as I work either from my house or narrowboat out-and-about on the English canals!
Worried your child is falling behind in GCSE Maths? Is their core numeracy holding them back from understanding other topics?
My 5-week Summer Numeracy Catch-Up Course is designed especially for Year 9 and 10 students about to move into Year 10 & 11 in the autumn, offering targeted support in a friendly online group of up to 6 learners. Led by one experienced UK maths tutor (me!), each 60-minute session focuses on key number skills—covering key skills such as place value, order of operations, negative numbers, fractions, decimals, percentages, factors and multiples—aligned with the GCSE curriculum.
The small-group format encourages participation and peer learning while keeping it affordable. Included in the course price, baseline testing will be used to tailor the course sessions to the needs of the group.
Book now to help your child build confidence and start the new school year strong!

Teacher-training gives both general teaching skills and subject-specific skills which are essential to know how to build up topic knowledge in stages. For a variety of reasons, students may have gained incomplete knowledge during these stages and therefore come with a varied understanding of topics. One-to-one sessions are perfect to help me identify issues and come up with a bespoke plan address them.
Hourly cost for a one-to-one session is £28 for GCSE level (£38 for GCSE A Level). The cost includes all preparation, baseline testing and onward assessment. All initial sessions are provided cost-free as an opportunity to get to know each other.
If hourly cost is an issue, parents or guardians are encouraged to consider arranging small groups with their child’s peers. Children will benefit from targeted intervention with the added benefit of interaction with their peers. Groups should comprise students in the same year group and level (Foundation vs Higher) and with similar target grades.
2 pupils: £18 per pupil, GCSE level (for A Level please enquire)
3 pupils: £15 per pupil, GCSE level (for A Level please enquire)
